PlaySide Studios wins AGDA Studio of the Year!

Earlier this month the Interactive Games and Entertainment Association (IGEA) brought the Australian games industry together at the Forum Melbourne for the 2023 Australian Game Developer Awards (AGDAs).

We are delighted to announce that an expert panel of over 80 judges selected PlaySide Studios as its 2023 Studio of the Year.

‍

In addition to becoming Australia’s largest publicly listed independent video game developer, the IGEA cited PlaySide Studios’ aims to foster a strong culture amongst its staff, its cultural initiatives (including a mentorship program) and steps to maintain a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace.

Held as part of Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW), the AGDAs ‘highlight Australian creative and technical talent and shine a light on emerging developers and artists, whilst also showcasing the many successes of the local video game industry.’

Plenty of PlaySiders were in attendance at Melbourne’s iconic Forum venue to celebrate the award on the night.
